Braster S.A. was created in 2008 by a group of Polish scientists who developed a breakthrough method of using liquid crystals in the diagnosis of breast cancer. The company cooperates with leading national research centers that have big experience in the field of studying the structure and applications of liquid crystals, such as Collegium Medicum of the Jagiellonian University at which participation THERMACRAC clinical tests were carried out. The company was awarded the Golden Laurel of Innovation by the Supreme Technical Organization, the prestigious title of the Market Leader of Innovation by Dziennik Gazeta Prawna and received a distinction in the Polish Product of the Future competition, organized by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development. The company’s goal is to launch an innovative, unique in the world device for early diagnosis of breast cancer – BRASTER.
The intense development, desire to launch the BRASTER on the market and high requirements of this industry prompted the company’s representatives to look for a solution that would order all business processes. The owners of the company faced the challenge of launching an international product sales network that would be fully integrated with the searched software. An important issue was also the integration with the production management system (MES Wonderware) along with tracking serial numbers. An important element was also the possibility of full control of logistics processes, including tracking of component batches.
The choice of Microsoft Dynamics NAV proved to be the right decision. The help of an experienced implementation partner – NAV24 – allowed to fully use the potential of Microsoft Dynamics NAV system. NAV24 representatives also carried out the integration of the NAV 2016 system with an online store, the Wonderware system and the UPS company. Thanks to these actions, it is possible to manage all business processes from the level of one integrated system now, also equipped with modern tools for analysis and reporting. The company currently has full control over production costs and logistics processes along with tracking serial numbers and batches. Braster S.A. decided on a mixed implementation model: ownership licenses and an installation in a cloud. Such a strategy allows to achieve significant savings in terms of the ongoing maintenance of IT infrastructure in the organization.
