What is the difference between Dynamics 365 Business Central and Dynamics NAV / Navision?
Navision and Dynamics NAV are the predecessors of Business Central. The Microsoft ERP product line draws from the experience and cooperation with clients from around the world, dating back to the 1980s. Dynamics 365 Business Central is therefore the latest stage in the evolution of these systems. What are Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central licensing options?
Dynamics 365 Business Central is licensed in the form of a monthly or annual subscription which provides a license for a named user, i.e. an individual person. We offer a choice of licenses for full users, under which it is possible to access all system functions, or licenses for restricted users, allowing read access to all data and performing simple operations. The level of access can be limited using the authorisation system.
I use other Microsoft solutions, what will I gain by implementing Business Central?
Business Central is part of Microsoft's applications and solutions ecosystem. Due to this, it allows for seamless integration between a number of other Microsoft products, such as: Outlook, Excel, Teams, Power BI and PowerApps. For example, we can create offers or orders directly from Outlook, edit data from Dynamics 365 Business Central in Excel, exchange customer data in Teams or interactively analyse and visualise it in Power BI.
