ACO Engineering Sp. z o.o. was established as a Polish company of ACO Service A/S, a Danish firm. It has more than 30 years of experience in designing, planning, prefabrication of technological installations and assembly of equipment for various industries: chemical, pharmaceutical, paper, food and dairy. As part of the ACO Group, company offers manufacture, delivery, and installation of thermal panels and products like heat exchangers, heating panels and condensers. ACO is an international, prosperous company, acting in compliance with local markets. Capital Group in Denmark chose Microsoft Dynamics NAV as the solution for managing the whole group. After implementation, NAV24 has been chosen as a partner for further system development and support.

CHALLENGES

The company from Kędzierzyn-Koźle sought to remodel the material handling and purchasing process. Software was supposed to support the management of the tool economy, including foreign constructions. The purpose was also to organize warehouse transactions, stocks and their distribution into groups. Due to the company`s international activity, the crucial issue in selecting the right IT tool was to improve the accounting of foreign projects.

BENEFITS

The choice of ERP system, offered by Microsoft, was dictated by the fact that its functionality met the needs of ACO Engineering employees. By changing the method of accounting for the purchase of tools and developing a dedicated tool management module, the entire tool management process has been streamlined. Moreover, by organizing item cards, changing warehouse processes and their registration, transactions and stocks are properly mapped on accounts now. In addition, through the full use of the order module to register all cost components for foreign projects, their settlement has been improved. The company also used MRP functionality to manage material requirements
